{Sandy’s day to shine…}

On saturday I was the lucky one to be chosen to take care of Sandy, her maids and nearest and dearest for her big day.

With a date change Sandy gave herself a short 2 months to oraganise her big day… [as the Mother of the Groom sat down in my makeup chair she said to me "I'm so proud of Sandy, she has organised this whole day in such a short time and it is perfect!"] I have taken care of Sandy at a previous Wedding [her Maid of Honour's big day last year] and after completing her makeup at that time she said to me "I can't believe you matched my skin colour! Can you do my Wedding?" so here I am!

In the lead up to the Wedding Sandy and I chatted through various emails at which point she told me she had a dream that it was time for them to be ready and I hadn't come, (the poor thing! Amoungst other Wedding related dreams) with a 5.30am start I choose to arrive early to put Sandy's worry to rest. I do remember having similar dreams myself… and I am sure so many other Brides-to-be can relate to this!

I arrived to a quite house and one by one the girls crept out having their morning coffee and breakfast, such a lovely bunch! And with Sandy as cool as a cucumber I knew the morning was going to flow beautifully!

Sandy chose a beautiful makeup style to give all the power to her eyes. I want sexy eyes, she told me. DONE! To create her Wedding day look I used my Urban Decay Basics palette (those who follow my blogs will see that my Urban Decay palettes get a work out for Weddings) they have the perfect range of colours with just the right amount of shimmer to them. This particular palette is a matte finish so I used a white/cream shimmer to highlight her brow bone. Erin Bigg Cosmetics blush for a beautiful bridal flush on the cheek, a soft pink gloss lip and full set lashes to finish. So elegant! Sandy left the choice for the Bridesmaids to me; to compliment the Bride I used my Yaby palette (beautiful shimmer shadows) in gold and bronze shades to highlight and shape the lid with a small flick in a dark chocolate liner (liner with shadow pressed over the top to achieve my desired shade) taking their colour onto the bottom lash line and complete with a beautiful full set lash. The girls wore a similar but more glossy less pink lip colour.

I love to touch base with my Brides after their big day to hear all about it!

Sandy's Favourite moment of the day: My favourite moment of the day was when I had just stood next to Sam under the arch and he held both of my hands.

Sandy's Advice to future Brides: All my bridesmaids thanked me for being a calm bride, I was so excited but at the same time relaxed, so we all were able to enjoy the day, so to give advice to any Bride to be, if you want to enjoy your day, don't allow anything small to upset you, you really want to enjoy every moment and at the end of the day, as my maid of honour told me on before she got married, 'if you marry the man you love than it is a successful and perfect wedding no matter what'

Sandy's chosen vendors for the day were:
Photographer: SKB Photography (Image by SKB Photography featured below)
Videographer: Curtis Videography
Florist: Stevenson Florist, Winston Glades
Hair Stylist: Belinda Diversi

And why she chose them: All of our vendors were chosen because of their work ethics, services and also from previous experiences. I am very fussy when it comes to customer service haha so I know I only chose the best people to work with.

And last by not least here is what she said about Me: The make up service was unbelievable, I am reccomending you to anyone and everyone who has an event coming up! You really looked after us and made us look like Goddesses! & I love the foundation! You are amazing and I am so happy I had you there!

Sandy I felt so honoured to be part of such a special moment in your life, I had a wonderful morning with you all! Such a beautiful bunch of ladies that made my job so easy! Thank you for putting your trust in me once again! I wish you the most enjoyable time on your honeymoon! I only wish I was able to stay for your ceremony and watch you make your big entrance! As one of your lovely Bridesmaids said to me “Magical doesn’t even describe it! Seeing two of my closest friends so happy was the highlight of my year”.
