Lauren & Tony <3

On a beautiful Saturday in March I headed to one of my favourite Wedding Day locations, Branell Homestead for Lauren’s perfect day! It was such a pleasure to look after this lovely bunch of ladies (with a few familiar faces within Team Bride!) I love meeting new people but I also love when my regulars unexpectedly pop up!

Lauren’s Wedding day was perfectly planned and decorated with aid of her very clever (and arty sister!) I just adored the little signs with directions and seating plans! Her colour scheme suited the country backdrop, country elegance at it’s best!

Lauren and her husband have now returned from their honeymoon to receive some their wedding images from Wendy Maley Photography. Big thank you to Wendy for allowing me to share some of these images with you, she has captured true moments of a wonderful day! (and she so kindly snapped some shots of my set up and sent them to me!).

With no further a do, here is what the Bride had to say…

I think I have a few favourite moments from the day. Of course, seeing my husband standing at the end of the aisle waiting for me was the best, it’s that moment you always think or dream of. And other favourite moments were just spending the morning getting ready with my bridesmaids and my mum, the most important people in my life, on such a special day. Also our first dance was so special, just the two of us in that moment, taking it all in.

I never really had the ‘this is the dress’ moment. I had no idea what I wanted and looked and looked at so many. And one day I went to a shop not thinking I would find anything but thought i would just have a look, and found the beautiful dress I wore on the day. I loved it in the end.

My bridal party were, of course my two sisters, and two of my best friends. My sisters were a no brainer, I couldn’t have made it through the planning and big day without them by my side. And my mum always said she regretted not having her best friend as one of her bridesmaids, so that helped me with my decision of who to choose. They were all the best people to have around me on the day, and I’m so glad they were all there. And of course my gorgeous niece as our flower girl.

I came to choose my vendors both by word of mouth, and also lots of hours googling and researching. But nothing can beat past experiences and referrals from other people, who have used the service provider beforehand and are happy customers/clients.

My makeup and Tyneale’s service was amazing and second to none. My makeup was beautiful all day long, barely had to touch up at all. The whole bridal party looked great, and loved being pampered just a little. I would recommend Tyneale to anyone, she was a pleasure to work with, both on the big day, and from the first day I contacted her.

My advice is just to enjoy the big day, the most special day of marrying your partner/best friend, take it all in. And in the lead up and planning, focus on why you are doing this, to marry the one you love. Things happen, and plans don’t always go as you would like, but don’t stress the little stuff, that’s not what’s important on the day.

Wishing you and your husband a happily ever after Lauren! It was my absolute pleasure to be part of your day!
